If your answer is, yes, then a role with the Children’s External Placement Team may be just what you are looking for!
Specifically the role will involve supporting the work of the Children’s External Placement Team in securing and monitoring Fostering, Residential and Supported Living placements for Children in Care.
Key within the role will be updating the placement spreadsheet and adding placement details to Liquid logic. You will also be required to create and implement complex and detailed tracking and monitoring systems for all aspects of the External Placements Team.
You will be expected to provide comprehensive administrative support to the External Placement Team including full administrative support to the 16.5+ panel which tracks young people as they move on and support the panel co-ordinators which will involve; minute taking, agenda setting, audit support, managing mailboxes, producing data at short notice.
The post holder will need to be able to operate in a fast paced environment, handle sensitive information, work as part of team and take a solution focused approach to all tasks.
You will deal with highly sensitive and emotive information on a daily basis; therefore emotional resilience and confidentiality is key.

The role is a mixture of working from home and office based so the ability to manage your time and communicate effectively virtually is also essential.
The role is part of the flexi time scheme – usual business hours Monday – Friday (0830-1700) there may be times when you are needed to support the team outside of these hours in order to secure a placement for a child. You would not be required to work weekends or bank holidays.
