We are looking for an experienced communications professional to join our fast-paced communications service.
The role will involve working within a team, and with colleagues across the Council, to provide a comprehensive communications service to the authority, helping to deliver the Council's key priorities and build upon its reputation with employees, residents and partners.
You will be working on a wide range of communications and marketing campaigns, liaising with local media, responding to enquiries and issuing news releases.
You should have experience of working in a communications, PR or marketing team and ideally have relevant qualifications. Successful applicants should also have experience of planning and delivering successful communications work and using social media effectively as part of communications campaigns and activities. You should also have skills in media management and in producing a variety of publications.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with people at all levels are essential.
