We are looking to appoint a new Cultural Development Officer who can demonstrate that they have dynamism, energy and experience to help us to achieve our aspirations for culture.
The district of Wakefield is home to a rich and diverse range of cultural organisations from the Hepworth Wakefield; the Yorkshire Sculpture Park; the Art House to the Theatre Royal Wakefield including the Council’s Libraries and Museums and Castles services.

Working with the Cultural Development Manager, the Cultural Development Officer will be responsible for the day to day delivery of our cultural grants schemes and commissioning programmes. It is essential that you have the ability to work effectively with internal and a range of external partners to deliver the Council’s priorities.
We are looking for someone who has the skills, experience, energy and creativity to deliver the highest cultural services to our residents across Wakefield district.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosure Application Form and to provide criminal conviction information.
