Cultural Development Manager (g10)
We are looking for appoint a new Cultural Development Manager who can demonstrate that they have dynamism, energy and experience to help us to achieve our aspirations for culture.
The district of Wakefield is home to a rich and diverse range of cultural organisations from the Hepworth Wakefield; the Yorkshire Sculpture Park; the Art House to the Theatre Royal Wakefield including the Council’s Libraries and Museums and Castles services.

Working with the Arts, Museums and Heritage Development Manager, the Cultural Development Manager will be responsible for managing our Cultural Investment Programme and contributing towards the delivery of our strategic cultural commissioning programmes. You will also have management responsibility for a new post of Cultural Development Officer.
You will be responsible for providing leadership, financial and strategic direction including day to day management of our cultural grants schemes and commissioning programme. It is essential that you have the ability to work effectively with internal and a range of external partners to deliver the Council’s priorities.
We are looking for someone who has the skills, experience, energy and creativity to deliver the highest cultural services to our residents across Wakefield district.
