Wakefield Council has an enviable record in delivering regeneration, housing and economic growth. We are now looking to appoint a talented and innovative Development Manager as part of the newly reformed Regeneration team within the Strategic Housing and Regeneration Service of the Council, to take a lead role in the development and successful delivery of the Council's ambitious regeneration aims and objectives.
Able to work strategically with excellent programme and project management skills, you will manage and lead on a range of key programmes, projects and initiatives, which will implement the sustainable regeneration and urban renaissance of the Wakefield District, in line with the objectives set out in the Wakefield District Economic Strategy. You will be able to develop and implement creative, innovative, comprehensive and practical enterprising and deliverable solutions for physically reviving and repurposing the city and town centres across the Wakefield District to help make them a destination for businesses, investors, residents and visitors.
You will be skilled in creating and maintaining excellent partnership working relationships across public, private, voluntary and community sectors. You will also have a thorough knowledge and experience of external funding programmes relevant to regeneration, economic development and housing and of securing investment to finance initiatives and enhance delivery.
