Wakefield Council Economic Growth and Skills Team Regeneration Team is looking to recruit a Heritage Action Zone Project Officer to oversee the development and implementation of the Heritage Action Zone (HAZ), for the Wakefield Upper Westgate Conservation Area.
The Upper Westgate Heritage Action Zone is a joint funded scheme between Wakefield Council and Historic England that will engage with building owners to bring physical improvements to buildings of historic and architectural interest, to support the regeneration of the Westgate area of Wakefield. The post will also manage a grant funding programme to assist with this initiative.
The role will also involve liaising with a range of specialists, consultants and project teams to support the delivery of the scheme, supporting a programme of community and culture activities, with local residents and stakeholders.
This is full time (37 hours), four year post commencing on the 1 April 2020.
