An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer at Wakefield Equipment and Wheelchair Service.
The suitable candidate shall have either successfully completed a recognised mechanical apprenticeship or is able to demonstrate an equivalent skill set.
All applicants shall have suitable relevant experience and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and Safe Working Practices.
The role will involve routine maintenance inspection and repair work on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment, including Portable Appliance, and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) testing. Training will be provided.
The equipment involved is used in client’s homes, care and nursing homes within the Wakefield District. The successful candidate will also inspect equipment within Wakefield Equipment Service Stores and to carry out maintenance where required. Therefore, we require our Maintenance Engineer to be an excellent communicator, computer literate, and be able to work at times without supervision. Flexibility and adaptability are essential in this post.
Driving License is essential.
